Keratoconus cannot be reversed, but progression can be halted with corneal cross-linking (CXL). Once stabilised, many patients achieve functional vision with rigid gas-permeable contact lenses or scleral lenses. In advanced cases, corneal transplantation may be required. Early intervention gives the best outcomes.

Glaucoma is often asymptomatic until significant peripheral vision is already lost. Dr. Dutt uses a combination of OCT-RNFL (nerve fibre layer imaging), Humphrey visual field testing, corneal thickness measurement, and gonioscopy to detect glaucoma at an early, treatable stage.

Most dry eye disease in adults is caused by meibomian gland dysfunction - the oily layer of the tear film breaks down too quickly. Dr. Dutt's management approach includes warm compresses, omega-3 supplementation, medicated drops, punctal plugs, and in-clinic thermal pulsation therapy for gland expression.
